Hi Ron,

... We were able to prove our descent from John Vincent d. 1871 with the Vincent 
Bible. Now we have records showing that he was the son of Aaron Vinson of 
Johnston County who died in 1791 and the grandson of John Vinson who died in 
1787 and Amelia who died in 1791. We already have the deeds proving this John 
Vinson who died in 1787 was the son of John Vinson who died in 1727 and the 
grandson of John Vinson who died in 1698.

Johnston County Deed Book Transcript #2, pg 229 shows that Aaron was the son of 
John and the brother of Drury Vinson. 

"Aaron Vinson of Johnston County to Drury Vinson of Johnston Co., for natural 
love & affection to my brother, all right & title to that land my father 
John Vinson, dec. formerly lived on & all the land adj...Feb. Court 1787."

"Records of Estates of Johnston County, North Carolina, Vol I-V, 1781-1807, 
Vol I" abstracted and edited by Elizabeth E. Ross.

Johnston County Record of Estates, Vol. I, 1781-1791, pg 78 grants the administra-
tion of the estate of John Vinson to Aaron Vinson.

Johnston County Record of Estates, Vol. II, 1791-1795, pg 225 records the division 
of the estate of Amelia Vinson. Drury Vinson is the administrator. It shows Drury 
Vinson is also the administrator of Aaron Vinson's estate.

"Div. of Est. of Amelia VINSON, dec. to legal representatives. Drury VINSON, Admr. 
Additional acct. of Est. of Aaron VINSON, dec. with Drury VINSON, Admr."

Johnston County Record of Estates, Vol. II, 1791-1795, pg 226 records the division 
of the estate of Aaron Vinson. It names his heirs.

"Div. of Est. of Aaron VINSON, dec. among legitimate heirs: Jesse, Polly, Levina, 
Sally, Charlotte, Payton, Allen, Betsy & John VINSON."

Johnston County Records of Estates, Vol. IV, 1800-1805, pg 105 shows that the 
children of Aaron Vinson were the grandchildren of Amelia. 

"Acct. of James ROSSER guardian of Elizabeth VINSON, orphan of Aaron VINSON, dec. 
Orphans share of Father's Est. - L 45 7" 11'; orphans share of Grandmother Amelia's 
Est. - L23 10" 4'. Schooling 1796-1802."

I found 5 records of reports of guardians of John Vinson, orphan of Aaron Vinson. ...
